Easier access to illustrations
Introducing the next step in our year of pension enhancements, single sign-on (SSO) to access illustrations from Adviser Portal and Applications Service.
Illustrations are a vital part of financial planning:
- Simplifying complex financial strategies – making it easier for clients to understand potential outcomes.
- Clearer view of income streams – helping clients visualise how their financial decisions will play out.
- Ongoing reviews – highlighting whether plans are on track and where adjustments are needed.
- Supporting informed decisions – by visualising withdrawals, changes in contributions, investment strategies, or retirement age, clients can better grasp the impact of their choices.
- Consumer Duty – transparency and clarity, helping meet Consumer Duty requirements for clear and effective client communications.
Simplifying access
Signing in separately to produce an illustration created a point of friction for users. You told us this was disruptive and caused delays; we listened and we’ve taken action.
Our solution is to introduce single sign-on access. Users can now move seamlessly from Adviser Portal and Applications Service with no separate sign-on, making it quicker and easier to generate and share illustrations.
A phased rollout for a smoother experience
To ensure a seamless transition, we are rolling out SSO in phases:
- A small group of users will receive access from 1st April
- Over the next 1–2 weeks, we will gradually enable access for all users
- Full migration is expected to be complete by the end of April
During this transition, you can continue to use the previous version of the illustration tool if needed. We will keep you informed every step of the way.
An important first step
Removing this friction point is an important first step, setting the foundations for a new digital experience.
Our next step will be to embed illustration tools directly into key journeys, such as applying for a new pension account or requesting a Benefit Crystallisation Event. There will be no need to re-key illustration data, further streamlining your workflow and saving you both time and effort.
